Spring, Blossoming
It's been quite a while since my last post; a new year has begun by every calendar's standards, and I have been busy in many unexpected ways. Fall and winter were times of hibernation outside of work. I took on a temporary full-time job in October that left little time for anything else, including auditioning or writing. I knew that when I took the job, but knew it would be temporary and build a financial foundation that would give me freedom in the spring to have security and time for artistic pursuits.
So here we are, one week and one snowstorm into spring, and I've spent my one day off this week submitting to auditions and working on my latest writing project. Lately as an exercise I've been writing plays based on a series of tarot cards, just free writing dialogue to get in the habit of writing without judgement or editing, generating content that can be structured and sculpted later.
The protagonist, need, and conduit for my first tarot play, "Balance."
It is time for me to emerge from my writing cave and get back out into the world, though. It's audition season, and submit to festivals season. It's wake up and create something that matters season. Change the world season. Aries fire season. It is time to get going.
