“A delightful sense of both wonder and gravity.”

“When I read the play, I was very impressed.”
After many years in development, Watchlist is Zed's first full-length play. Watchlist juxtaposes Cold War-era Berlin with modern day America, exploring themes of surveillance, privacy, communication, and isolation in our current society. Through the eyes of two contemporary twenty-somethings who are transported back in time to opposite sides of the Berlin wall, Watchlist seeks to awaken audiences to the similarities between the most thorough surveillance state in history and the "greatest democracy" in the world. While rooted in a very real historical and modern political context, Watchlist is a time-traveling, fantastical take on the problems facing our society today. Watchlist challenges us to open our eyes to a world we forgot and a world we now ignore - with increasingly dangerous consequences.
